1.  Greenland can be a challenging place to live . . . for your internal clock.

In Greenland, the sun does not set for TWO MONTHS from the end of May . . . until the end of July.  And in the winter, the sun sets in October and doesn’t rise again until February . . . with the only natural light coming from the moon and aurora borealis.

 

 

2.  Cleopatra lived closer to the debut of the iPhone than the building of the Great Pyramid.  The Pyramid was finished in 2,540 B.C.  Cleopatra was born 2,471 years later, in 69 B.C.  And the iPhone debuted in 2007, just 2,076 years after her birth.

 

 

4.  Just like there are earthquakes here on Earth, there are “moonquakes” on the Moon, sunquakes on the Sun, and marsquakes on Mars.  (That’s moonQUAKES not moonCAKES, the delicious Chinese treat.)  (???)
