Sam Hunt sang his latest single “Locked Up” at the CMT Music Awards, and it did NOT go over well with fans. The performance was announced as “channeling Johnny Cash” . . . but apparently, he didn’t live up to that billing.
One person Tweeted, quote, “That was brutal. Off key the whole way through the song.” Another said, quote, “This dude has definitely lost it.”
As for the Johnny connection, someone said, quote, “To compare ANYONE to Johnny Cash is blasphemy. But to compare Sam Hunt to him? LOL, time for bed.”
