On TV: The third and final season of “Physical” hits Apple+ tomorrow . . . season two of “Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty” hits HBO this Sunday . . . season three of “Only Murders in the Building” premieres August 8th . . . the final season of “Billions” lands on the 13th . . . and the latest Star Wars spin-off “Star Wars: Ahsoka” premieres on Disney+ August 23rd.
2. In theaters: “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” opens tomorrow . . . “Meg 2: The Trench” arrives Friday . . . “Strays”, with Will Ferrell and Jamie Foxx as disgruntled dogs, hits theaters on the 18th . . . so does the new DC Comics movie “Blue Beetle” . . . and “Gran Turismo” opens the 25th.
3. In sports: The NFL Preseason gets started this Thursday with the Jets and Browns on NBC. Then everyone else gets started next week. And if you’re a tennis fan, the U.S. Open starts August 28th.
