It’s basically when a show has the right amount of gadgets, action, and middle-aged actors to grab your dad’s attention. Here are 10 that your dad probably watches:
1. “Longmire” . . . It was a modern Western series that ended in 2017 on A&E. You can find it on Netflix now.
2. “The World According to Jeff Goldblum” . . . First of all, it has Jeff Goldblum. Secondly, it’s a docuseries that dives into different subjects so it’s also educational. You can watch it all on Disney+.
3. “Reacher” . . . It’s a new Amazon series based on the same character that Tom Cruise played in the 2012 movie “Jack Reacher”.
4. “Bosch” . . . It follows an L.A. police detective. The series ended last year, but there’s seven seasons on Amazon.
5. “Yellowstone” . . . It’s a Western with Kevin Costner, need I say more? You can catch it on Paramount+ and Peacock.
6. “The Rookie” . . . It’s about a 40-year-old man who is beginning his career as a cop. You can watch it on ABC and Hulu.
7. “Rust Valley Restorers” . . . It’s a reality series on Netflix about people who restore cars.
8. “Banshee” . . . It’s about an ex-con who impersonates the town’s sheriff. There were four seasons and it ended in 2016, but you can watch them all on HBO Max.
9. “Barry” . . . Bill Hader as a hitman. That is all. You can watch it on HBO Max. Season three starts April 24th.
10. “The Repair Shop” . . . Ah yes, another restoration show. But this one focuses on furniture and it’s British. You can watch it on Discovery+.
