Social media can be toxic, so I like to have a healthy dose of dog accounts to follow on Instagram to balance things out! Here are a few of my favorite “Dog Influencers” if you’re looking for new ones to follow!
#1 Doug the Pug: @itsdougthepug
The OG dog influencer! I’m so jealous of how many celebrities this dog has met and his owner does the cutest posts! I’m obsessed.
#2 Noodle the Pug: @showmenoodz
A senior dog who predicts what kind of day you’ll have! Very cute posts and Noodle’s owner is very creative with the content.
#3 Steve Greig: @wolfgang2242
This account is run by Steve Greig, who adopts MANY senior dogs and documents them. Greig also has a pet pig, chicken and turkey as well! It’s a unique account.
#4 Sophia the Pug: @sophiathepugg
Sorry for so many pug accounts but I love them and I think they are actually so hilarious! This account in particular is amazing- because the owners are genuinely funny and Sophia has a lot of personality. Sophia is known as the “Chomping Queen” because she “chomps” the air for attention and it’s so funny.
#5 Pop the Bulldog: @popthebulldog
Pop became famous during the 2020 pandemic. Pop’s owner posted a picture of a very sad looking Pop who is disappointed that the neighborhood kids aren’t coming to pet him (due to social distancing). The post went viral and the internet felt so sorry for him. Bulldogs are so funny to me and the owner posts really cute pics!
#6 Sammy the Golden: @sammythegolden247
Such a beautiful and hilarious dog! Sammy even wears baseball caps made for dogs and it’s too cute! Just lots of pics and videos of a cute Golden Retriever!
#7 Jolt the Golden: @jolt.of.genius
If you saw the new Disney+ show Hawkeye, you may recognize this dog! Jolt in real life does have both of his eyes and is GORGEOUS and so well trained! A must follow especially if you’ve seen Hawkeye!
#8 Maya the Dox: @mayathedox
Maya is a long-haired mini Dachshund, and her owner dresses her up in all kinds of cute outfits! Seriously, the feed is so nice to look at and Maya is such a sweet little lady.
#9 Biscuit the Caps Pup: @capspup
If you’re a Washington Capitals fan this is a must follow! Biscuit is the official pup of the Capitals and is working with America’s VetDogs and the team to become a service dog! SO CUTE!
#10 Merit the Goldendoodle: @meritthemini
Merit is a Goldendoodle located in Maryland and has such cute pictures! My husband and I actually want to get a Goldendoodle (or some kind of poodle mix) because he’s allergic but we LOVE DOGS! Anyways, this dog is so photogenic and the owner does a great job with the feed!
