1.  Contrary to popular belief, sitting “straight” is bad for the back as it puts pressure on the spine.  The position with the least pressure was found to be leaning 135 degrees backwards.

 

 

2.  When martinis were first developed in the 1920s, the ratio of gin to vermouth was two to one.  The amount of vermouth kept dropping, and now, the ratio is six to one or less.  A “dry martini” is made with little to no vermouth.
