You’ve heard of wine tours and farm tours. Kentucky has the “Bourbon Trail” . . . and now, South Carolina has a MAYONNAISE TRAIL.
If you’re a MAYONNAISE FANATIC, you know Duke’s . . . especially if you’re in the South. The brand was created by Eugenia Duke in Greenville, South Carolina more than 100 years ago . . . and it has a big loyal following.
Now, Greenville has an “Unofficial Mayo Guide,” which includes 20 stops, showcasing mayonnaise in different ways. There are six “snack spots” . . . 14 meal “must-haves” . . . and four historical stops celebrating Duke’s.
The trail is a self-guided tour, so you can hit up the featured places whenever you’d like .
The trail also seems open-ended, like the Bourbon Trail. As long as the places offer these dishes, you’ll be able to do it . . . so you don’t have to cancel your Thanksgiving plans to squeeze in an emergency trip to South Carolina.
