In today’s Honky Tonk Truth, Tracy Lawrence helps raise money for Veterans and the Homeless, Cody Johnson shares life lessons he learned from doing rodeo, and country music makes history on the Billboard Hot 100.

 

  • Tracy Lawrences and his Mission: Possible charity teamed up with Brave Experience to release a limited edition beef jerky. There are two flavors jalapeño and hickory smoked, plus proceeds will help support veterans and the homeless.

 

  • Cody Johnson had a career in rodeo before he went full-time with his music. And talking with him he shared what lessons he learned from rodeo:

 

  • Country music has made history on the Billboard Hot 100 with its 4th straight #1 song with Zach Bryan’s “I Remember Everything” featuring Kacey Musgraves. The previous three were “Rich Men North Of Richmond” by Anthony Oliver, Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” and Jason Aldean’s “Try That In A Small Town”.  The only other year that there have been four or more #1 country songs on the Hot 100 was 1975 with five.
