If you’ve got high blood pressure, you’re not alone.  Almost half of Americans over the age of 20 do, and three-quarters of people 65 and up.  So this news applies to a lot of us . . .

A study may have found the two exercises that lower blood pressure the best.  And the good news is, they require NO movement.  (???)

Until now, we thought aerobic exercises like running or cycling were best.  And those ARE still good options.  But according to the study, the best exercises for blood pressure might be PLANKS and WALL SQUATS.

Planks are when you’re in a push-up position but on your elbows, and you hold it for a while.  Wall squats or “wall sits” are when you squat down with your back against a wall.

If you’ve never done them, they’re no cakewalk.  But if you hate running, they might be a good option.

In general, our blood pressure is supposed to be 120 over 80, or lower.  The study found doing planks and wall squats regularly can help bring down that top number by around 8, and your bottom number by around 4.
