In today’s Honky Tonk Truth, Jelly Roll has another first on the charts, Luke Combs talks about his dreams for his Nashville Bar, and Lainey Wilson helps a girl get a pony.
- Jelly Roll has become the first artist ever to have one song simultaneously in the Top 10 of country airplay and mainstream rock airplay charts. “Need a Favor” is currently #3 on the rock chart and #9 on the country chart. Other artists have been on both charts at the same time but for different songs.
- Luke Combs’ Nashville bar is due to open in the summer of 2024. And talking with him, he explained how important it is that his bar becomes a special space for songwriters:
- While performing in St. Louis this past weekend, Lainey Wilson brought a young girl on stage with her. The girl had a sign that said “Lainey, my Dad bet me a pony if I get to get on stage at my first concert ever”. Lainey read the sign on stage and said the dad needs to pay up and then signed the poster.
