DIRT ROAD REPORT

Did you know some of your favorite country artists used to play football in college?  Here are five:

Trace Adkins:  He was an offensive lineman at Louisiana Tech.  He had to quit after his freshman year because of a knee injury.

Sam Hunt:  He was a starting quarterback at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  And even tried out for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Lee Brice:  He earned a scholarship to play as a lineman at Clemson University.  But injured his right arm and had a career-ending surgery.

Riley Green:  He was the starting quarterback at Jacksonville State University.  He quit football to pursue music, but it looks like that paid off!

Chase Rice:  He was a linebacker for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  He got injured and couldn’t pursue a professional career.

Thomas Rhett and Katy Perry are announcing something, but what could it be?  They posted a photo of their silhouettes with tomorrow’s date.  They already have a duet together with “Where We Started”, so maybe it could be a music video.  Or a brand new song.

Florida Georgia Line is coming out with their first greatest hits album.  It’ll have over 18 songs, including three new songs.  It comes out November 9th, but there’s an exclusive vinyl at Target that comes out October 28th.  Try not to get too excited though, the band is still on hiatus.
