So the new iPhone 14 has a feature where it can detect a car accident and immediately call 911.
Which sounds like it would be a neat safety feature… that is until you get on a rollercoaster.
The phone’s only been on the market for barley a month now and has over six reported times it has called emergency services for being on a rollercoaster. And first responders have responded to some of the calls.
The feature gives you 20 seconds to cancel the call, but obviously you’re not paying attention to that while on a rollercoaster.
It’s unclear if Apple plans to do anything about this bug in the system. But for now the best way to avoid this is to put your iPhone 14 in airplane mode.
