Too Far To Walk?

According to a poll, 60% of Americans would be more than willing to walk somewhere if it were a mile away.

And I have a hard time believing this. I want to know what focus group they chose to pick this statistic from. Because in my experience in life, everyone avoids walking anywhere whether they were crazy in shape or not even close.  Now I’m just supposed to believe that 60% of Americans would willingly walk a mile for something like groceries? No just no.

Apparently 54% of people claim walking is their preferred mode of transportation.

They’re also claiming over 67% of people choose the stairs over the elevator when possible. I also call bull on that.

Maybe my perception of life and people is way off. Because none of this makes sense to me.
